Online Account Information
Please remember, as of December 2014, an Online Account is required to process all online filings. An Online Account will give you the ability to complete filings and orders for Business, UCC, Tax Liens and CNS online.
In order to create an Online Account, you will need an email address and password. Only one account can be created per email address. Multiple filings on multiple entities can be processed thru one Online Account.
Online Payments must be made by credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Debit cards must have a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express logo. Filings and orders are not completed until payment is submitted using the US Bank process. NOTE: Your Online Account Sign In is not your US Bank Sign In. The US Bank website allows you to pay without registering with them by clicking on “Pay without Registering”. Payment confirmation will be provided electronically.
An Online Account will maintain a Transaction History with links to view and print your completed filings for up to 90 days.
To create an Online Account:
- Click on "Create Online Account" from the webpage https://mblsportal.sos.mn.gov/. System requirements are also located at this webpage.
- Supply your email address and create a password.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions; then click "Create Online Account"
You will receive an email with a link to confirm the online account. The link in the email is valid for 24 hours. Once the online account is confirmed you will be required to sign in. The delivery information entered at the time of creation will be used to pre populate delivery information on all orders.
To reset a Password:
- Click on "Sign In”, then click on "Forgot your password?” from the webpage https://mblsportal.sos.mn.gov/.
- Enter your email address, then click "Request Password Reset".
- Wait for the confirmation email. The link in the email is valid for 24 hours.
- Supply your email address and enter your new Password.
If you do not receive an email it may indicate that you have not created an Online Account with that email address.
